BAU 2025
Dear Friends, dear Colleagues,
It is an honour and a privilege to invite you to the 25th edition of our annual BAU meeting which will take place on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th 2025.
We had a wonderful and very successful meeting last December in the beautiful vibrant city of Spa. We intent to have this year an even more interesting one!
The venue will be the ICC Ghent. The city of Ghent in December is a truly magnificent venue! There is the Christmas market, the Winter Wonder Castle, a Ferris Wheel and much more to do, to see and to buy…
But science before pleasure! Before you can enjoy it, scientific work will need to be done. Our Scientific Committees (BVU and SBU) will provide you with a contemporary programme, bringing you an update of the everchanging field of medicine and urology in particular. National and international key opinion leaders will bring state-of-the-art lectures and join round-table discussions.

Welkom op de Elautprijs 2026!
De BVU en VITAZ Sint-Niklaas hebben de eer en het genoegen u uit te nodigen op de jaarlijkse Elautprijs, die zal plaatsvinden op zaterdag 24 januari 2026 in Hotel Van der Valk, Gentseweg 280 in 9120 Beveren-Waas.
Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte strijden onze jonge collega’s, toppers in wording, daarbij om de felbegeerde Elautprijs door vandaag hun wetenschappelijk werk naar voor te brengen, daarbij niet altijd gespaard door kritische vragen vanuit de zaal en jury. Deze jarenlange traditie staat garant voor een aangename mix van hoogstaande wetenschappelijke voordrachten door onze jonge urologen en netwerkopportuniteiten voor collega’s en industrie.
We beloven het u: ook deze editie wordt een aangename en bijzonder leerrijke samenkomst waarbij het aanstormend urologisch talent zich van zijn allerbeste kant zal laten zien. Zorg dat u erbij bent!

BVU x Surgquest
In a unique collaboration between BVU (Belgische Vereniging voor Urologie) and Surgquest, we are pleased to invite you for the first edition of the Belgian BPO event with focus on innovation.
In an attempt to offer you a unique learning experience, we will focus on live demonstration of innovative surgical and non-surgical techniques to tackle BPO (Benign Prostatic Obstruction). We have gathered a stellar faculty of Belgian urologists regarded as experts in the field of innovation and BPO treatment. Furthermore, our ambitious young colleagues of ESRU (European Society of Residents in Urology) will be offered hands-on training in the robotic training cluster to get fully immersed in the atmosphere of education.
This one-day conference will be organized in Orsi Academy on Friday October 10th. We would be honoured if you could join us and be part of the surgical future.

From Start to Port
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the first Benelux symposium of the BLUG BeSPoKE working group, From Start to Port: Advancing Single Port Surgery in the Benelux, taking place on September 26, 2025, at AZ Maria Middelares in Ghent.
This meeting will gather renowned experts in robotic and single-port surgery to share firsthand experiences, present innovative SP techniques, and discuss the strategic choices facing our community, including the evolving role of the da Vinci SP system.
The program features keynote lectures, live surgical demonstrations, and interactive panel discussions, as well as the opportunity for hands-on experience with both the SP and daVinci 5 platforms. We will also explore the creation of a Benelux SP user group and the potential for a shared clinical database.
We are confident this symposium will provide valuable insights, practical knowledge, and opportunities to connect with colleagues who share the vision of advancing minimally invasive urology in our region.

The EAU invites you to ERUS25, Europe’s premiere event for robotic urology, bringing together experts and colleagues from around the world. This dynamic meeting focuses on practical training in robotic surgery through live surgery sessions, case discussions, and state-of-the-art lectures. The programme also includes ESU Courses, and a Technology Forum. Additionally, ERUS25 offers dedicated sessions for younger urologists through the Young Academic Urologists (YAU) – Robotic Working Group and for nurses with the ERUS-EAUN Robotic Urology Nursing Meeting.

Beste collega,
We willen jullie graag uitnodigen voor het eerste global (ES)GURS - ESAU congres van 9 tot 11 oktober.
Deze meeting brengt de verschillende Europese, Internationale en Amerikaanse verenigingen in Reconstructieve urologie en Andrologie samen.
Het is voor ons, als dienst urologie UZA, samen met de collega’s van de dienst urologie Hasselt (Kliniek voor Urologie) een waar genoegen om deze unieke meeting te hosten in A Room with a Zoo in Antwerpen.
We beloven u een bijzonder boeiend programma voor te schotelen met heel wat gerenommeerde internationale experten.
Drie dagen live chirurgie met onder meer upper tract reconstructie, incontinentie chirurgie, urethra chirurgie , peniele reconstructie, penile implants en fertiliteitschirurgie worden gecombineerd met interessante debatten en state of the art lectures.

Urovision 2024
De dienst Urologie van het UZ Leuven heeft de eer en het genoegen u uit te nodigen op het Urovision 2024 congres te Leuven op vrijdag 11 en zaterdag 12 oktober.
Vanuit onze lange traditie voorzien we een brede update van de huidige urologische kennis met een blik gericht op de toekomst. Waar staan we vandaag en met welke verwachtingen kijken we naar wat komt? We organiseren sessies rond oncologische topics, endo-urologie, kinderurologie, functionele en reconstructieve urologie.
In de loop van de volgende maanden ontvangt u meer informatie over de locatie en het wetenschappelijk programma. Naast accreditatie voor deze activiteiten, voorzien we een opleiding radioprotectie.
We kijken ernaar uit u te mogen ontvangen te Leuven op 11 en 12 oktober te Leuven!
